Been in a slump since me old china left. Everything's Dorothy back in Kansas gray. Madness drought and thrill dry. The long quiet settles. Three day hang-over and the words not hitting right no matter how long I pound at them. Been at it for four hours now massaging some rewrites and researching the piece. It's okay. I can see it all in my head clearly. Now I just have to get my fingers and eyes on the same page.
