Country Music's Best Kept Secret - Sweet Daddy Siki!

Without a doubt one of country musics finest moments was when Sweet Daddy Siki took a break from the Ring to lay a few tracks down for Sun Records. The stories of Big Daddy Siki and Johnny Cash touring the seedy underbelly of the Atomic Age South are legendary. Tales that resonate of love lost, men made bad by good intentions, Jesus, fist fights with Bobby "the brain" Heenan (who also made a less memorable country album - "The Hard Weasel Blues"), how right a bad woman feels, the musical virtues of amphetamine addiction and the ecclesiastical redemption of the working class criminal.

Nowadays it's all hype and hyperbole!

There may be no Big Daddy Siki action figures, no cartoon or t-shirt deals. Just a simple album filled with honest songs of the blue collar pugilists that made America what it is today.
