I got more lines than a coke-head on payday!

Well knocked out five pages under a rainy day, what say we play a quick game. This one's from [profile] halfass_johnny:
1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb (or Wikiquote) and find a quote from each movie. (or in some cases, just remember them.)
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it correctly and the name of the movie.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb/Wikiquote search functions.

I'm gonna have to add rule six which is two answers per person max, I know some of you can do something like all 15 of these off the top of their head, so let's give everyone else a fighting chance:)

Alright here we go...
1."Right, and we're up here doing traffic reports! Wake up, sucker! We're thieves and we're bad guys. That's exactly what we are. We gotta find our own way" - Dawn of the Dead (1978), [profile] gaeasdaughter

2."I'll shove that bat up your ass and turn you into a popsicle" - The Warriors, [profile] meemeedarling

"Well, I heard of a balled-up whore named Charlie Princess. That you, missy?"

- Manhattan, [profile] ednaismygod

13."I'm the high-voltage Messiah, the electric Christ, the AC/DC god" - The Ruling Class, [profile] gaeasdaughter

14."Playing with my money is like playing with my emotions, Smokey" - Friday, [personal profile] deadflowers

15."It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does?" - Bladerunner, [personal profile] featherynscale

[identity profile] featherynscale.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
6. Repo Man
15. Blade Runner

9 is killing me - right on the tip of my brain, but from a book, not a film. *squint* Nah, got nothing.

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes and Yes. Number 9'll come to you.

[identity profile] ednaismygod.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
12. Manhattan. My favorite film of all time.

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Bravo!

[identity profile] halfass-johnny.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
4. 3:10 to Yuma. Just watched it last week, so it's fresh in my brainy parts.

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed it is. Just loved Peter Fonda channeling his inner- John Wayne in that scene.

[identity profile] meemeedarling.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
#2. THE WARRIORS!

I hope no one beat me to it.

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep.

Nope you were the first to spot Ajax's infamous threat!

[identity profile] meemeedarling.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Must get back to Coney Island!

(or at least I think it's Coney Island, my brain is the size of a pea)

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
It was indeed the big C.I.

[identity profile] deadflowers.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
five is the thing and fourteen is friday.

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Two for two.

No. 11

[identity profile] entropic-om.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Death and chess?

Must be Bergman's Seventh Seal. :)

D'dya ever watch Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey...there's a chess-playing Death in that one too. Heh.

Re: No. 11

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I was one of the few of my friends who got the B&TBJ -Death reference. Another favorite line is when the Knight asks him what secrets death holds and he replies:

"I have no secrets" - *shudder*

[identity profile] kittenspeaks.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
#5- The 1980's remake of The Thing.

#8- Easy Rider!! (I used to have that on a VHS with Alice's Restaurant and HEAD.)

[identity profile] kittenspeaks.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Just noticed someone else already did 14.
Then I'll do the obvious
#9- Reservoir Dogs

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
You got beaten to the right answer on five but eight is indeed Easy Rider. in fact thats my favorite line on this entire list.

[identity profile] kittenspeaks.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Did you see my follow up comment?

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Oui and you Reservoir Dogs is scratched off the list!

[identity profile] catwalk.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay... I wasn't sure if anyone would get that one.

[identity profile] catwalk.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] ltmurnau.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, afriad not.

[identity profile] gaeasdaughter.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
1. Dawn of the Dead remake

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Close enough... the original:)

[identity profile] gaeasdaughter.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
The electric Christ thing ... The Ruling Class?

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yep!

[identity profile] gaeasdaughter.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Don't know how to do the "cross-off" thing or I'd play in my own sandbox.

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Use the word strike in the middle of a "<" and a ">".

[identity profile] gaeasdaughter.livejournal.com 2008-02-23 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Thank ya kindly.

[identity profile] animeoni.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 07:18 am (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
Very good, wasn't sure if anyone would get that one!

[identity profile] animeoni.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
do not doubt my power of abstract, weird, foreign or just crazy movies. i am quite a connoisseur. i've seen some strange Japaneses movies by Takashi Miike that i wish i could wipe from my mind.
i have not looked at the rest of your list. I clicked on your cut and that quote jumped out at me and i knew it. ha!

[identity profile] daucus-carota.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
just now reading... I would have only gotten one... Night of the Hunter. I'm surprised there are no Drugstore Cowboy, Miller's Crossing, or Barton Fink quotes?
xxx

[identity profile] jackbabalon23.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that you mention those movies I kind of wish I had... also Big Fish and O'Brother Where Art Thou!

Off the top of my head from Barton Fink - "I'll show you the power of the mind!"

Drugstore Cowboy -"Never put a hat on a bed!"

Miller's Crossing - "I suppose you think you've raised Hell, Tom",
"When i've raised hell you'll know"

[identity profile] gaeasdaughter.livejournal.com 2008-02-23 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
And to this day, I WON'T ever put a hat on a bed again.
