jack_babalonSo I thought I should go around and introduce myself to the neighbors since i'm house sitting for a few days. Well to be honest it's not my idea really. Blame the facist judges and their court ordered mandate against staging performance art in private residences. Yeah that's right folks, apparently "Big Brother" doesn't want me coming into your house when you're not home, dressing up department store mannequins in your clothes and posing them in sexually provacative positions throughout the living room. It's like I told her Honor: "Think of me as the Santa Clause of performance art... only instead of gifts under a tree I leave a visual commentary on bourgeoisie consumer culture and it's inevitable erosion of our cherished family values". I gave them art damn it! Raw art! Real art for the working men and women of the proletariat... and they gave me a Bench Warrant!
*ahem*
So anyway the meet and greet went down with mixed results. Most folks were sensible enough to hide under their furniture when I came strolling up their driveway. But you know... there's always one isn't there?
"Oh I hope you bought cookies?" she laughed from behind the safety of her chained door. Now as you all can attest to by reading my blogs, i'm a very sensitive man and as such interperted her giggling as a callous dismissal of my feelings and my nervousness around meeting new people.
Normally I would have just sulked away or been rendered bed ridden for days by her snide dismissive tone. But unfortunately for all involved I was up all the night before snorting and mainlining the Internets. As you can imagine I had quite a different reaction to her question.
