Yeah, I really enjoyed this because of its simplicity - giant robots attack city, superheroes respond and much banter filled action ensues. This was really quite refreshing in a summer of secret skrulls, convoluted sub-plots and final final (no we mean it this time) crisises.
Glad you got a kick out of it.
Though one thing does come to mind - why not show cartoons like these before the movie versions of Iron Man or Hulk? I mean for 10$ a ticket and 12$ a tub of popcorn... why not throw a little something fun for the audience before the main event?
You know it didn't occur to me that they did look like toaster-heads until you mentioned it... pretty cool!
It's funny watching this a second time I remember when Tony Stark used to carry his Iron-Man suit in a briefcase instead of needing a robot factory to dress him up for battle. Of course those were the years of "Happy Hour" Iron Man...
I always preferred the Hulk as this monstrously strong version of Lenny from "Of Men & Mice" rather than as an inarticulate creature from the Id. So yeah 'Hulk save puppy make puny Jack Babalon smile too!'
That kicks ass! I think it's just a little video that Marvel had made to promote comics though, using the three big movie franchise guys. Did make me hungry for The Avengers movie
Yeah, I found out Marvel has an all ages comic with Spidey, Iron Man and the Hulk so this was most likely a promo for that. Well even if they don't do an Avengers movie i'd love to see more of these little promo-cartoons (which seem much better than most of the regular Marvel cartoons I've seen on Saturday mornings of yesteryear).
