A Moment of Gratitude

While everyone is sitting around smiling and posting smugly about how the world didn't end today, I would like to take a moment to honor the brave men and women of the United Nation's Task Force Ragnarok who sacrificed so much to ensure we could do just that. Thanks to their courageous acts of ultra violence and scientific know-how the subterranean C.H.U.D. factories have been dismantled, the floating Mayan Ah-Pook Ziggurat Death Engine lies in smoldering ruins, the Timewave Zero Cannon is safely secured from the hands of the Paradigm Liberation Front and the portal to the dreaded Realm of Howling Nightmares remains closed another 5,000 years. 97.6% of you won't like or share this post - but I know a few of you will join me in saluting these intrepid souls who gave so much so we could go about making sure the world is destroyed the way it was meant too - slowly through our collective indifference.
