jack_babalonJust got this in my inbox, it was in response to a story I submitted in October and their reply read for me to open a PDF file which in turn referred me to the following (names and titles redacted):
"Dear ____ ,
I wish to thank you for submitting ”***” but I’m sorry to report it will not be published in the forthcoming issue of ***. Your submission was carefully read by the editorial board and though we found much merit in your work (as well as obvious attention to craft and detail), space or thematic considerations have necessitated its exclusion.
We at _____ are writers ourselves and know how much time, passion, and effort go into every artistic endeavor. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Regardless of these circumstances, we hope you find success with your work and encourage you to consider us for future submissions.
As Ever,

And that's that I guess.
Back to the drawing board until I can come up with something to shake off this rejection streak I'm on.
