Well the big move is over. Got the little lady settled thanks to the two William's. Turns out she had a little more to hump than we initialy expected, but the four of us managed fine. The place is pretty swank and only a ten minute walk to Little Five. I'm told there's going to be a studio apartment opening up a few doors down soon and i'm very interested. So to all my friends who see me rarely, if ever, I'll soon being leaving Doraville and making my way back to the Perimeter. Atlanta. Terminus. Voodoo Town & Downtown-Dirty-South. The Hermit will step outside the cave, rub the raw light out of his eyes, and travel back to "Jerusalem the Sleeping, Babylon the Golden". But for now i'm a walking lump of hurt. Owed Bill a favor and had to do the lawn early today before the rain that never came came down. Then made the march back up Mt. Lynnray Drive. I have traveled this circuit so often i've stamped my ghost into the memory of the geography. When the Universe implodes I'll march backwards over and over, poetry thoughts in reverse. prose becomes vision, insight folding itself into immediacy of experience. I will slowly unremember myself and that ghost will be hammered back into me. Meanwhile every muscle hums with a deep ache. Too much sun absorbed. This calls for a few glasses of Rioja, some Chinese delivery and a barrage of cartoons to sweep away my thoughts!

I Offered
on 2005-07-18 04:01 am (UTC)I think being closer into town will help you feel more connected. I think it has helped me (well, sometimes).
I am sorry you are so sore. I can sympathize since I just started exercising again after taking 2 weeks off (due to that cold/virus I had)and am suffering a bit myself.
