Scenes from my Real Life
Aug. 17th, 2013 04:19 pmWhile I've been helping mom make the transition from moving from Fulton to Dekalb County, I've noticed a major difference in attitude amongst the locals. For example when I was walking around Decatur Square a few days back this guy on the street I'm passing stops to say 'hi' to me.
"I can't help you, pal." I say preparing to hurry along.
"Didn't ask if you could, son. Just wanted to say 'hi'." The guy says with a sincere smile and a wave.
I think the easiest way to sum it up would be that Decatur seems to be the laid back Canada to Terminus' perpetually wound up United States.
