Well it looks like no Dragon*Con for me this year. This weekend I move in to the new place (thanks for the help last night btw bookmonkey211!) and with the first months rent, the deposit, the new cell phone(yes i'm now a member of the 21st century) and all the money I owe in Transvestite Ninja Hookers it looks like i'm shit out of luck on this years bash! I guess this is for the best since last year I got into a fight with Batman in the mens room, got Gandalf drunk, had a cigarette with Jesus Christ, hijacked a battlebot (actually a shopping cart but you never know until you try),reported Cobra Commander to Home Land Security, almost got raped by a Klingon Battle nun, passed out in the fire exit and from I last heard they were still cleaning out the Hyatt elevator after my little ummm accident with the paint balls... I now realize that was NOT, in fact, the real Dr.Doom and apologize to the poor man & his son who I completly and irrevocably have scarred for life. Meanwhile I hope my friends, allies and people who have agreed to exchange nods of the head when I pass them by have a great time this year. Who knows maybe i'll don my Mexican Wrestling Mask, fill up the flask and Jedi mind trick my way in...
BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR

Yep. Took it this morning. If you're taking it to Lindbergh it takes about ten minutes from the time it leaves Candler Park Station. After 7:30-8ish it starts to slow down a bit though. I'm figuring to ride my bike down to Innman Park Station and just MARTA it from there.
cool. one of my coworkers who also lives in the neighborhood tried it this morning - he left at 9.25 and got here at 10.45 (buckhead station), but he's gonna try again. when i do Marta, i just drive to Inman Park, but that kinda defeats the purpose and it also takes ages because you have to go to five points to change. I miss london.
I miss London too. If it helps just say: "MIND THE GAP" when the train pulls up. Seriously though MARTA works best in the first two hours of operations (5:30-7:30) after that conditions go from annoying to shitty pretty fast. Where on Briarcliff do you guys live? You might wanna take the bus that runs up Ponce to the North Ave station.
I wish some of my friends i've actually helped moved would be so generous. But all passive aggresive whining aside, thank you, but Bill, L___ & I should be able to muddle along if we stretch it out over the weekend. I think the Scholar arrives back from the week long bachelor party tomorrow as well so who that might turn the tide a bit...
