I know, I know I can hear y'all out there right now:"Jesus H. Christ with a horse bit and a tube of lube- how many times is this guy gonna post today?"

Well here's the thing- in a reply to a post earlier today the lovely guita gave me an idea. I'm outta reading material right now, (i'm literature single so to speak and the brain is starting to get horny for words)and i'm getting paid early next week-Sooooo...since many of my friends in LJ land are such a literate bunch (literature and writting seem to come in second only to sex in the intrest section of the profiles)-recommend a book or two for me (besides a dictionary- it ain't gonna help my grammarizing none!).
Much obliged to all who respond-I'll be off line 'til tomorrow morning.

What do you like? My reading lately has been scifi, fantasy, smut, political nonfiction, historical nonfiction, and a bit of science nonfiction. 'Generation Kill' by Evan Wright was a good read, written by a Rolling Stone reporter who rode with an infantry unit through the charge to Baghdad. 'Under the Banner of Heaven' about Mormon extremism by Jon Krakauer was pretty eye-opening. Pretty heavy though. How about Laurel K Hamilton's 'Anita Blake: Vampire Killer' series? It's like Buffy the Vampire Slayer but with lots more sex... mmm mm good. Those fall in the fantasy/smut category I think.

I would suggest any of these that you have yet to read…

Autobiography of abbie hoffman
“culture Jam” Kalie Lash
“No Logo” Naomi Klien
anything by Noam Chomsky or Emma Goldman…
“The Stranger” ALBERT CAMUS
“The Bird That Flies Highest” by Brad Johnson
“The diamond age or a young ladies primer” and “snow crash” Neal Stephenson
