That was Captain America of the Avengers live at an impromptu press conference, held upon the capture of the embattled former Secretary of Defense. The Captain went on to state that he, as well as several other costumed superbeings, had appeared here on "Earth 23" in response to an inter-parallel reality distress call sent from the subconscious minds of millions of American citizens.

"Once we return from Dafur and a quick trip to the Middle East, we plan to have a few words with the Vice President and the POTUS as well." The Captain told stunned reporters before boarding a 'Quinjet'.
