A friends fortune is a blessing...

jack_babalonWhen I got into Terminus on Sunday night I got some great news from an already drunk Magpie. My friends independently produced movie, The Signal has been selected to be in the 2007 Sundance Film Fest! One of the few films to make it with a budget under a million dollars i'm told.

A lot of my buddies over in Collective Works are in this movie. Including The Magpie & West (Of whom you might've read about in these pages here and there). In fact a couple of you out there on my F-List were extras as I recall, myself included (I was in a mob scene terrorizing a fellow extra with a golf club over in the corner of the shot).
There's few better feelings than seeing shit work out for your friends (though still not as good a feeling as waking up between a naked Scarlet Johansson and Rene Zellweger after an all night game of Tantric Twister). So congratulations to everyone at POP Films and Media Versus Media!
