Reader 1:Hail Eris!

This may come as a surprise to many of you, especially those of us who paid good money to come to this memorial service. Robert Anton Wilson is not dead. As any Discordian can tell you, Bob's death can be viewed as true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Bob, therefore is no more "dead" than a car can be considered 'dead' when the keys are not placed in the ingnition. No more than an appliance can be considered dead when it is unplugged.

We have gathered here to wish our friend a bon voyage as he departs on his tour of the after life. Tonight we have come to wish Robert Anton Wilson a Happy Re-Birth-Day

We have come here not only to say goodbye to an inspiration, but also to say hello to our own potentiallity.

Reader 2:Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

Like Bob, I too refuse to give into the prejudice of species-ism. Bob is an entity, albeit a non-corporeal one, but one of many talents never the less. He is a writer with that rare gift of genius that is the ability to express the most profound ideas in the simplest of terms. A philosopher who has taught in the style of a stand up comic. A scientist who understood that it is the imagination that defines any given equation. A conspirologist who has looked into some of the weirdest shadows of paranoia and not once lost his sense of humor in the process. He is a magickian who has revealed perhaps the greatest secret of ceremonial magick: It actually works if you're willing to do the work! (shhhhh keep that one under your hat).

Yes the great Beast may have given us 'Magick without tears' but it was old Bob who went one step further and performed the much more difficult trick of Magick with laughter! Crowley may have defined Magick as "the act of making reality conform with your will", but It was Bob who showed us that "Reality is what you can get away with".

Bob's counter programs, whether sci-fi, essay or biography, act as a series of interactive Anarchist Cookbooks desinged to show you how to hot-wire your own nervous system for fun and profit.

Reader 3: Praise Bob!

We are gathered here tonight to remind ourselves that reality is still what you can get away with. Mind control remains a two way street. We should always strive to remember to never whistle while you're pissing. **
Bob wrote: "Is," "is." "is" — the idiocy of the word haunts me. If it were abolished, human thought might begin to make sense. I don't know what anything "is"; I only know how it seems to me at this moment.

In honor of our most beloved teacher, we will for the next 90 minutes*** remove the word 'IS' from this room. Instead I would like to offer you a better word, a word more worthy of the Bob's memory: 'BE'.
