Only one of the many Chicken dieties that rule over the people of Terminus

Route 23 is one long run North to South. You start off in Florida, downtown Jacksonville. Squidsville, USA and home of what has been called "The worlds Largest Cocktail Party"... the Gator Bowl. You ride the highway up into Homeland, Ga (pop 765) drift Northwest a bit and shoot across a series of counties with names that sound like they were found on Tombstones, straight up into North Carolina. Open up your engines now. Don't you know we got places to be, son? Hug the coast of the state line steady and take her straight into Bluegrass Country, Tennessee and ricochet this bitch until you hit Virginia. From there you'll rocket through Weber City, cross the Clinch River and exit out of Pound. Now you're in Kentucky riding the "Country Music Highway" where the US Route 23 Drug Corridor stings pepper the highway with random stings all the way through Ohio. But don't stop here, we're almost home and you're on the freeway leading from Toledo to Detroit,Mi and from there it's a slow cruise along Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay where you finally come to the end in Maginaw City.

I want to show you one fragment of this River 23. Where she flows proudly into Terminus to briefly change her name to Moreland before emptying out into the spill of Buford Highway. It's a suicide slash of pregentrified ghetto really. Filled with fast food junctions, graffitied garage bunkers and gas station outposts. We'll be between Little Five & the Starlight Drive-in, where we'll pass a Jurassic sized Cowboy Chicken, a seemingly empty Masonic Lodge, the burnt down remains of a house where Psychic Astrologly was performed and an empty Industrial Center that resembles a refinery in a ghost town. I'm going to show you the hour I stole from a late afternoon last Sunday in one of my favorite parts of the city.

On our way to Alabama we saw where they got that it is a whole store of nothing but giant random animals. The two that stood out most were the 20ft high bear and the tiger there were also giant cows and ducks. (=

By the looks of the flag he's waiving, that must be the Jamaican Cowboy Chicken Jerk.

It was only that flag that kept us from climbing up on him and attempting to ride him into the sunset. Which as everyone knows, is one of my top ten things to do before I die... ride giant chicken.
