"In brightest day..."

Friday: Green Lantern's lost on the East-West Platform at Little Five Points station. His power ring's useless. He scans the marquee above him, a ticker rolls by train schedules that are badly off. He walks a little one way down the platform, then stops, looks around and then walks back the way he came.

Repeat as needed until...

"You lost there, Green Lantern?" a skinny little black man hollers from over a screen of spread newspaper across the other side of the rail tracks. GL looks around nervously. He's been spotted. He rubs the back of his head in dileberation and sucks in his gut instinctively. You don't need no telepathy to pick up his thoughts: "What if this guy starts heckling me? Or wants money? What if he's packing something the color yellow...?"

"You looking for the Hyatt aincha?" skinny little guy chuckles. GL debates. Finally he nods sheepishly back at the man. "Alright here's what you wanna do ... go down them stairs right behind you, wait there and catch the North Bound Train. One Stop."

"One stop?" GL answers with a hint of midwestern flavoring his accent.

"One stop and you're there. Just follow the other freaks if you get lost..."

"Thanks..." GL yells back a little more confidently now his accent replaced by a practiced baritone, he grips his wheeled luggage with his power ring hand and makes his way to the stairway. The skinny man just shakes his head and returns to his paper.

My fun over, I go back to my novel and wait for the Eastbound home.

Yeah originally Hawkman was smiling then the photographer was like "Hawkman doesn't smile!" and then he did the tongue sticking out thing.

They were some of my favorites as well and come in a close second to Luke Cage & Iron Fist for me.

I wasn't up for the Motley Crux-Shadows show so Teddy Bear and I ditched upstairs for some kind of room party event. I was planning on making it for the Pirate Booty Corset Treasure Chest thing-a-ma-jing later but we were both too shot out by then. Sorry.

I did NOT have fun. It was almost completely misrable... nine hours of my Life that I can't redo... Getting ready for it was a mucho blast though, so it's all good. Next year I am wearing comfortable shoes, dressing in my everyday clothes (which, of course, will still scare people) and daring anyone that I don't Love dearly to come anywhere near me, with hopes that they will dare! I'm also gonna go to a few of the day things... there were things on the schedule that I'd have enjoyed like the parade (of course) and the Japanese Tea Ceremony panel and the vendors rooms...

Can't wait to see the pix!
