For [livejournal.com profile] esmio06 who laments the rise of Macho Man Soviet Union.

I don't know if any other sketch of Robot Chicken's second season made me laugh as hard as this sketch. Rowdy Roddy Piper's "Hey, hey, hey ya fuckin' Nazi... how ya doin'" right before taking out the sentry with a pile driver just makes me warm and smiley all over.

In fact, just once i'd like to have some pig or suit mouthing off to me and be able to whistle and have R.R.Piper show up in a blaze of kilt wearin' whoop-ass!

Anyway, now back to your regularly scheduled blogs...

That's brill. I never saw that when it aired on the tele.

The Hogan's Heros cracked me up, I had to send it to Brian since he is overly obsessed with that show. (well, both Hogan's Heros and Robot Chicken)

I loved watching wrasslin during that era, up until WWF and WCW started their incestuous relationship. Of course, I was an Ultimate Warrior girl myself.
I have no idea why I am telling you this. Perhaps I don't hang out with enough people who have testicles.

Macho Man was amazing!
I will never forget the tag team match with him and Hulk where Miss Elizabeth was "knocked out" by Big Boss Man.

Oh. That's a little embarrassing.

Yes! I remember when that happened. I was more shocked that she wasn't actually Macho Man's wife than the fact she died. I don't recall what ever happened to Lex Lugar in all of that, whether he was charged or not.

Hooooooooooooooooooooooo!
My little brothers (still in their single digits at the time) absolutely loved Hacksaw Jim Duggan and would run around the house acting like him. And the Bushwackers.

Other favorites of mine were Jake the Snake Roberts and The Undertaker during the time of Paul Bearer as manager. Also, being an Elvis girl, I did have love for The Honky Tonk Man.

I must have watched more wrestling than I thought.

I liked Roddy in They Live; apparently he did all his own stunts, including the extended fistfight scene.
