I took these riding around my home town just before a storm struck. I raced around snapping shots of blooming magnolias and bare trees against a sky of silken gun-metal. Then it began to rain, then thunder, then lightning struck and I pedaled back to the Witchhouse. Hope you like them.

I'll tell them you said so... most flowers though to be fair are excellent models... except when you tell them things like "give me fierce!" or "give me sexy-pink"... then it gets a little awkward:)

Glad you liked them.

Very much.

Thank you for taking the time to enjoy the spring. (if it really is spring now?!??!)

Would you mind if I saved a few and sent them to my Mom?

Lovely, as always. :) I snagged the silhouetted tree for my desktop.

In other news, I am so fucking ready for spring. The storm gods just dumped several large buckets of hail on us out here.

Cool, glad you liked it - there was a point when I was sizing up the shot that I actually stuck my hand up to it so it would look like I was firing a black bolt of energy into the sky.

We had hail over here a few weeks ago just before the tornado. Strange. Well be careful out there in storm-god country (a country indeed for 'old men'), they get real jealous when Mother Nature prettys herself up to go out dancing across the spring earth.

pink won

in pink vs gray... glad you captured that moment cause I bet gray actually won once the storm came, but now forever pink wins!

Well the petals are still there and at this moment have been joined by the dogwoods... who knows in the end?

wow I have to say it looked like that storm on the horizon had its eyes set on the little flower that could.

Yeah, I thought it had this sort of nordic-stoic eloquence to it, especially as a contrast to the pink ( a theme I did this time last year actually:).

Beautiful, every last one.

My favorites are Pink versus Gray and Earth Lightning. The second is such a great concept title.

I tend to see bare trees as frozen lightning (I guess the way they say architecture is frozen music), but that bursts from the earth towards the sky instead of reverse.

Glad you liked them.

heh I see them the exact same way. Especially bare trees at night.

I seldom say a word here, but I so very much enjoy the pictures you take.

I love this set. The storm ones are a beautiful chaos.

Thank you for sharing.

I appreciate the feedback, glad you like the set, storms are a lot of fun to shoot for me because of the backdrop they can cast.
