That time of the months

I am reminded of a kid I used to get stoned with in high school who was absolutely convinced that a woman could only menstruate during a full moon.

"No, man... " I tried to inform him through an embarassed hiss of a whisper, "you're thinking of Lycanthropy"

To which my friend nodded along sagely, filing the information somewhere deep in the vault of his drug addled mind... saving it for those full moon nights to ask his lady friend at the time if her bad moods might not in fact be due to '... the influence of the lie-can-throw-pea!'

I often imagine that he's now a biology teacher in that same school... or a sex-ed instructor for the Promise Keepers.
