Beyond being an oddly apt metaphor for how I feel the American Economy is doing, this cover just makes me laugh for no other reason than the look on Captain Marvel's face as he glances up at a billboard advertising his new-found Hobo Status. It's as if the character had no idea why he was walking down the train tracks (instead of say... oh flying over them), dressed unconvincingly in rags over his uniform and carrying a matching red/yellow bindlestick before looking over to his left to discover that he was on the cover of his own comic book.

"Ohhhh..." he seems to be thinking, "It seems I'm a hobo this month. Ohhh-kay..."

It's just one of those silly moments you could only get away with in old superhero comics that seems to make me inexplicably happy.
