The Whispering Gorilla: During the Great Depression many newspapers resorted to the hiring of all manner of gorillas, monkeys and lemurs to fill staff positions as these gentle beasts not only worked much cheaper than their human counterparts but also significantly boosted reader circulation. None were more popular than Tom-Tom the Whispering Gorilla - who worked as a theatre critic for the NY Times in the early 1930's. However tragedy ensued when the Whispering Gorilla was driven into a blood-rage by a particularly dreadful performance of The Merchant of Venice. Not until the closing of Cats would Broadway witness such unchecked mayhem.

The Amazing Bandingo: An early experiment in the then budding field of short wave radio/giant gorilla technology yielded the Amazing Bandingo - the dreaded Science-Ape. Bandingo terrorized the American Midwest for several years before the invention of Television rendered the mighty science-ape obsolete. Bandingo still lives to this day however, working as a freelance correspondent for NPR news and appearing occasionally on This American Life.

Pedorilla: Simple decency forbids me from outlining the deplorable crimes commited by this leering fiend. It is sufficient enough to know that Pedorilla was a singular source of nightmares in all children through the early 20th century. After his inevitable capture in 1948, he became the first gorilla to be executed by electric chair in the United States (though certainly not the last). Pedorilla has recently become the star of a series of Japanese Anime adventures including - "Bedtime for Pedorilla", "Professor Pedorilla", "Super Lucky Pedorilla Funtime Hour" and of course "Pedorilla versus Sailor Moon".
