I had pretty good luck by combining Adjust Color Levels (Blue channel, raise the mids and lows), a very light Gaussian Blur, and then raising the Saturation and Lightness levels. Should probably add some Graininess, too.
Step One: Find a bear. Step Two: Find a taxicab (note: these are not interchangeable, as the taxicab must be willing to stop when seeing the bear). Step Three: Depending on the type of bear, have a friend take the taxicab to obtain bait (fresh salmon, beehive, etc). Step Four: (and this is very important) Have friend exit taxicab! Step Five: Pay taxicab driver for original trip and ask for a receipt. Step Six: While cabbie is filling out receipt, open back door of cab and release bear. Step Seven: PROFIT!!
