Real life and a puzzle

Okay, back from walking Vee to work through the rain and scoring a two-inch thick stack of free comic books. Going to blast Meat Beat Manifesto until the downstairs neighbor weeps, cook up some chicken vindaloo (must be all that Red Dwarf I've been watching lately) and vanish into the wonderful world of power rings and thunder gods for awhile.

Poor Doctor Rigor and Professor Mortis, due to their unusually macabre surnames they are constantly being rounded up for questioning whenever there is a murder... and as such forced to stand around mazes until some masked vigilante figures out it wasn't them. Worst of all the two men have never formally met and have grown weary of being told at parties - "Why Doctor Rigor, what do you mean you've never met Professor Mortis... you two would get along famously".
